The Kona Homebrew Competition is AHA/BJCP Certified and is organized and hosted by the Big Island's homebrew clubs, Kona Coast Barley Boys and Orchid Isle Alers.
The Kona Brewers Festival is a unique fundraising event sponsored by the Bill Healy Foundation which has raised more than $300,000 for Hawaii Island beneficiaries to support cultural, educational and environmental endeavors.
We are planning to make the 2009 14th Annual Kona Brewers Festival Homebrew Competition even more successful than last year. We welcome your entries in the 2009 Kona Brewers Festival Homebrew Competition.
This year, for the first time, we will award Best of Show for beer and Best of Show for mead and ciders
